Healing Intergenerational Patterns: Therapy Group
Starts on December 9th, 2025!
Weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30 – 7:30 PM CST
In-person at Introspective’s Lakeview location
A new therapy group designed for adult parents and adult children seeking to understand each other’s experiences, learn new ways of communicating, and find deep inner peace.
Regardless of your relationship with your family members, this group brings together an intergenerational mix of individuals who want to unpack generational differences, heal lingering trauma, and tap into new levels of empathy to show up for themselves and those around them.
Through guided reflection, shared stories, and practical tools, we’ll explore boundaries, guilt, empathy, and family patterns. You’ll leave with greater emotional clarity and confidence to navigate family relationships, especially around the holidays.
Why this group?
Generational patterns and repeated traumas can shape our relationships, roles, and sense of self. If you feel like you’re stuck in a cycle of anger, frustration, or guilt and you don’t know where to turn, this group is for you.
You don’t need to attend with a family member! What makes this group so unique is that we’ll all work on our collective needs and hurts, learning from the perspectives of others who’ve lived through similar family dynamics.
You’d be a good fit for this if you:
Feel stuck replaying old family patterns or conversations that never go anywhere
Wish your parent or your child could see how hard you’re trying
Struggle with communication, boundaries, or guilt over the holidays
Are learning to accept that your parent or child might never change – and you still want to find peace and radical acceptance for them
Are ready to feel more grounded, compassionate, and empowered in your family relationships
Are curious about how different generations think, feel, and communicate
